Getting started

How do I submit my opinion?

On the homepage, choose the office (Presidential, Governorship, or House of Assembly), select your preferred party or candidate, pick your state and age band, choose your top issue, confirm consent, and submit. The form is designed to take under one minute.

Who can take part?

NaijaElects is intended for eligible Nigerian voters aged 18 and over. Taking part in our opinion poll is not the same as casting an official ballot on election day.

Can I vote more than once?

No. The system limits one response per election office per device. This protects the integrity of aggregate totals.

Reading the dashboard

What do the national results show?

They show aggregated candidate or party preference among respondents who have submitted an opinion for that office. Use the segment filter to compare all respondents, the verified sample, younger voters (18–34), and persuadable voters.

What is the state view?

The state view shows which preference leads in each state that has responses. You can switch between map and list, and change the metric to voting intention, response volume, or sample quality.

What are “top issues”?

Top issues rank the share of respondents who say each topic is the most important to them — for example the economy, security, jobs, education, healthcare, power, corruption, or cost of living.

What does the sentiment trend chart mean?

It tracks weekly movement in preferences and undecided respondents over time. Short spikes can be noisy; look for patterns that persist across several weeks.

Trust, privacy, and advertising

Is NaijaElects affiliated with INEC?

No. We are independent and non-partisan. We are not affiliated with INEC, any political party, or any government body.

Are these official election results or predictions?

No. Official results come only from INEC. Our charts are public-opinion aggregates. They are not predictions and should not be labelled as election results.

Is my data shared or sold?

No individual response is published or sold for marketing. We publish aggregates only. See the full privacy policy for cookies, AdSense, and retention details.

Why are there advertisements?

Advertising helps cover hosting and development costs so the poll and explainers can stay free. Ads do not change our methodology or editorial decisions. You can adjust personalised ads via Google Ad Settings.

Problems and corrections

How do I report suspected manipulation?

Use the “Report manipulation” control on the dashboard when available, or email info@naijaelects.com with as much detail as you can share.

How do I request a correction?

If you find an inaccurate explainer or outdated fact on the blog, email us with the page URL and the correction. We review factual issues promptly.

Can you help me register to vote or get a PVC?

No. NaijaElects does not handle voter registration. Contact INEC through its official channels. Our PVC guide explains the process in plain language for educational purposes only.
