These terms govern your use of NaijaElects (naijaelects.com). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
NaijaElects provides an independent, non-partisan public-opinion tracker and related educational articles about Nigerian elections. The service includes a live poll dashboard, aggregate charts, and blog explainers. It is free to access.
2. Not an official election service
NaijaElects is not affiliated with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) or any political party. Poll results on this site reflect aggregated opinions of respondents only. They are not official election results, not certified vote counts, and not guarantees of future outcomes.
3. Eligibility
The opinion poll is intended for eligible Nigerian voters aged 18 and over. You must provide honest answers to the best of your knowledge and must not attempt to manipulate aggregate results.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit automated, scripted, or bulk responses designed to distort aggregates;
- Attempt to bypass one-response-per-device limits or other integrity controls;
- Scrape the service in a way that degrades performance for other users;
- Use the site to publish hate speech, threats, or illegal content;
- Misrepresent NaijaElects data as official INEC results.
5. Content on the site
Articles, explainers, and interface copy on NaijaElects are provided for information and education. We aim for accuracy and update pages when facts change, but election calendars, court rulings, and candidate lists can move quickly. Always verify critical legal or procedural details with official sources.
6. Advertising
The site may display third-party advertisements, including Google AdSense. Ads help fund hosting and development. Advertising partners may use cookies as described in our privacy policy. Editorial and methodology decisions are independent of advertisers.
7. Intellectual property
Site design, original articles, and aggregate presentation are owned by NaijaElects or its licensors. You may link to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not republish entire articles without permission.
8. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that the dashboard will always be available, error-free, or representative of the full Nigerian electorate. Online opinion data has known limitations, described on our methodology page.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NaijaElects is not liable for decisions made by users based on poll aggregates or articles, or for third-party ad content.
